ROBERT JUNG

Robert Jung

Robert Jung joined MK Law as practice manager in August 2024. He runs the firm’s office, accounts and client administration. Clients often deal with him on appointments, engagement and billing, and on gathering the documents their matter needs.

Background

Robert has worked in business management for about 30 years. He began his career in Seoul at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, where he managed a sales office and developed staff training programmes. He later held management roles within the Samsung group, leading business development and wealth management training teams at Samsung Multicampus (then CREDU).

After moving to New Zealand, Robert ran JK Global Consulting Ltd. The company first worked as an education agent for international students and later provided accounting and business advice to small and medium-sized businesses. From 2013 to 2016, he was vice director of Froyo Trading Ltd, a franchise business, where he handled contracts, branch leases, procurement and recruitment.

Robert also translated legal and official documents between Korean and English. These included affidavits for the District Court, business and property agreements, and certificates such as family registers and academic transcripts.

Qualifications

Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Commercial Law from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Yonsei University in Seoul. He also completed an advanced course in instructional systems design at Florida State University.

Robert works in Korean and English. Korean-speaking clients can contact him directly about appointments, documents and accounts.
