Sarah graduated with LLB (Honours) from Auckland University of Technology in 2017. She received multiple Dean’s List awards for her academic performance. While studying, Sarah worked in various law firms and gained practical experience in law. She also worked with refugees and immigrants as a volunteer.

After graduation, Sarah joined one of the top 4 corporate law firms in New Zealand. While working in the commercial litigation department, Sarah was mentored by top litigators in Auckland and learned to maintain the highest quality of her work for clients.

Sarah joined MK Law in 2019 to follow her passion. Sarah has always been passionate about the human side of the law. She understands that each client has their side of the story, and endeavours to ensure that their story is fully heard by decision-makers.

Sarah speaks English and Korean fluently. In her spare time, she does powerlifting, makes music, and writes poetry.

Sarah often works on immigration and employment law cases. She has worked on the following cases:

  • Character waivers for clients who allegedly submitted misleading information to Immigration New Zealand;
  • Character waivers for applicants with criminal convictions;
  • Character waivers for supporting partners with criminal convictions including murder and sex offences;
  • Section 61 requests;
  • Reconsideration requests to Immigration;
  • Submissions for clients who faced deportation;
  • Humanitarian appeals to Immigration and Protection Tribunal;
  • Residence visa appeals to Immigration and Protection Tribunal;
  • Unjustifiable dismissal cases.
